Danis Tanović’s My Late Summer has won the Golden Apple Jury Award for Best Feature Film at the 21st Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival (BHFF) in New York City. Ado Hasanović’s My Father’s Diaries won both the Golden Apple Jury Award for Best Documentary Film, and the Audience Award.

Alexander Payne, director of The Holdovers, Sideways, Nebraska, and The Descendants, will chair the International Jury of the Competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival taking place August 27 – September 6, 2025. The International Jury will assign the Golden Lion for Best Film, as well as other official awards.

Directors’ Fortnight (Quinzaine des cinéastes), the independent section held in parallel to the Cannes Film Festival, has unveiled the lineup for the 57th edition taking place May 14-24, 2025.

The 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, scheduled for June 8–14 in Annecy, France, revealed the 21 feature films in the Official Selection. This year’s edition pays tribute to Hungarian animation, spotlighting both classic and contemporary works.

Filmmaker Maren Ade will preside over the short films and La Cinef Jury of the 78th Cannes Film Festival taking place from May 13 to May 24, 2025. The jury also includes director, screenwriter and producer Reinaldo Marcus Green, actress, singer and songwriter Camélia Jordana, producer, photographer and former Director of the Filmoteca Española José María Prado and director and screenwriter Nebojša Slijepčević.

The 2025 Tribeca Festival unveiled its audio storytelling lineup, featuring a dynamic mix of live episodes, immersive audio experiences, and world premieres. Most of the audio events will take place between June 10–14 in New York City.

Titled In Search of Us, the Immersive program of the 2025 Tribeca Festival will spotlight 11 projects – including six world premieres. The program will be hosted by Water Street Projects at WSA, transforming the space into a hub of innovation, reflection, and collective imagination.

The 2025 Tribeca Festival announced its official games program featuring nine selections, all eligible for the Tribeca Games Award, which honors an unreleased game for excellence in artistic storytelling.
