Award-winning playwright David Mamet returns to the director’s chair with Henry Johnson, his first theatrical film in 17 years. The prison drama stars Evan Jonigkeit as a man whose life is upended by an act of compassion, leading him into a morally ambiguous journey. Shia LaBeouf co-stars as a charismatic and manipulative inmate who becomes Henry’s cellmate, drawing him deeper into a world of ethical uncertainty. The film is an adaptation of Mamet’s 2023 play of the same name.

Soul On Fire, the drama film from director Sean McNamara (Reagan, Soul Surfer), inspired by the life of John O’Leary, will be released in theatres nationwide on October 10, 2025 by Sony Pictures Entertainment’s AFFIRM Films.

Durga Chew-Bose’s directorial debut, Bonjour Tristesse, is a reimagining of Françoise Sagan’s 1954 novel, set against the sun-drenched backdrop of the French Riviera. The coming of age romantic drama film stars Lily McInerny as Cécile, a teenager navigating a summer of emotional upheaval, with Claes Bang portraying her charismatic father, along with Nailia Harzoune – his new girlfriend, and Chloë Sevigny as Anne, a fashion designer whose arrival disrupts their idyllic retreat.


Ahead of the world premiere at Cannes, A24 has debuted the official teaser trailer for Eddington, the contemporary Western dark comedy film written and directed by Ari Aster, and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, with Austin Butler, and Emma Stone.


Oscilloscope Laboratories debuted the official trailer for Vulcanizadora, the black comedy thriller film edited, written, directed, and starring Joel Potrykus. Potrykus and Joshua Burge star as two friends who travel into the Michigan woods for a dark mission that goes awry. Also starring in the movie are Bill Vincent, Solo Potrykus and Melissa Blanchard.

Ahead of its world premiere in Un Certain Regard at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, My Father’s Shadow, the feature debut from upcoming filmmaker Akinola Davies Jnr., has secured French distribution through Le Pacte.
