2000 Meters to Andriivka makes US theatrical premiere at Film Forum in NYC

2000 Meters to Andriivka, the documentary film following a Ukrainian platoon on a mission to liberate the Russian-occupied village of Andriivka will make its US theatrical premiere on Friday, July 25 at Film Forum in New York City.

In his follow-up to Oscar®-winner 20 Days in Mariupol, Pulitzer-winning AP journalist Mstyslav Chernov again immerses us, cinematically and emotionally, in the war in Ukraine — this time during the 2023 counteroffensive. Embedded with a small Ukrainian platoon on a high-stakes mission to liberate the Russian-occupied village of Andriivka, Chernov and colleague Alex Babenko hole up in trenches, shadowing soldiers as they inch forward through forest, minefields, shellings, and artillery fire. This first-person witness to war’s cruel reality intersperses with intimate, moving moments — conversations that reveal the bare humanity of young men on the frontlines who dream and fear and hope.

2000 Meters to Andriivka had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where Chernov won the World Cinema Documentary Directing Award, and was featured at CPH:DOX 2025, Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, Hot Docs, and more.

Luis “Lou” Ferrer’s psychological thriller MIA Sets July 8th release date | Trailer

MIA, the psychological thriller film from director Luis “Lou” Ferrer, starring Shah Motia (The Outside Man) and Emiliana Jasper (Reckoning) is set for release on July 8, 2025 by Breaking Glass Pictures.

At the heart of MIA is Aaron (Motia), a desperate man convinced that Emma (Jasper) is actually his long-lost daughter, Mia. The problem? Emma insists she’s never seen him before. As Aaron spirals between certainty and madness, his claims of a shared past blur the line between delusion and reality. Who is telling the truth? And who is truly in danger?

“MIA is a film designed to make you feel uneasy from the very first frame,” says Ferrer. “I wanted to explore the terror of uncertainty—of not knowing what’s real or who to trust.”

Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures, shares his excitement for the release: “MIA is an unforgettable psychological thriller that keeps you hooked until the very last second. Ferrer has crafted a film that is not only suspenseful but deeply thought-provoking. We’re thrilled to bring it to audiences who crave intelligent, gripping storytelling.”

Ferrer echoes Wolff’s enthusiasm: “I was searching for a true partner since wrapping on MIA, but Richard and Susan’s sincere appreciation and understanding of what I intended to put on film made Breaking Glass Pictures the obvious choice.”
