Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi’s (The Circle, Taxi) stunning new humanist drama, 3 FACES, winner of the award for Best Screenplay at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and featured at the Toronto and New York film festivals, will open in New York on Friday, March 8 at the IFC Center followed by a national rollout.

An inspiring and intimate portrait of a place and its people, Hale County This Morning, This Evening looks at the lives of two young African American men from rural Alabama over the course of five years. The film received an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The directorial debut of award-winning photographer RaMell Ross, the film premieres on Independent Lens Monday, February 11, 2019, 10:00-11:30 PM ET (check local listings) on PBS.

Actor and director Emilio Estevez will make a special appearance at the 2019 Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) for a screening of his film, The Public, and be presented the Festival’s prestigious Vanguard Award. On the heels of yesterday’s Oscar nominations, Regal announced its annual Best Picture Film Festival will take place Friday, Feb. 15, through Sunday, Feb. 24, featuring all best picture nominees that played in Regal theatres in 2018.
