
Tilda Swinton will be honored with the Honorary Golden Bear for her lifetime achievement at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival. She will be presented with the award at the Opening Ceremony at the Berlinale Palast on February 13, 2025.

Zoe Saldaña, star of the critically acclaimed Emilia Pérez has been named the second recipient of the London Critics’ Circle’s Derek Malcolm Award for Innovation. She is also nominated for Supporting Actress of the Year for her performance in the film. Saldaña will receive the award at the 45th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday, 2nd February 2025. Actor and filmmaker Colman Domingo was the inaugural recipient.

Sing Sing was the big winner at the 2024 Black Film Critics Circle (BFCC) awards, receiving four prizes including Best Film of 2024, Best Actor for Colman Domingo, Supporting Actor for Clarence Maclin and Best Ensemble.

From first-time director Ryan J. Sloan, who co-wrote the film with lead actress Ariella Mastroianni, Gazer is a psychological noir thriller about a woman who becomes entangled in dangerous conspiracies after taking a high-paying job to cope with her rare fatal disease. The film was entirely self-financed by Sloan and Mastroianni, balancing their day jobs while shooting on 16mm film.

The feature documentary takes an intimate look beyond Warren’s art, delving into her life filled with her signature humor. It features commentaries from Warren’s notable collaborators, including Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Kesha, and more.
