Harley Flanagan: Wired for Chaos directed by Rex Miller is a raw and unfiltered documentary that explores the tumultuous life of Harley Flanagan, the founder of the hardcore punk band Cro-Mags. The film traces Flanagan’s journey from a chaotic childhood in New York City’s Lower East Side to his rise in the punk scene at age 11 as the drummer for his aunt’s band, the Stimulators. Through candid interviews with Flea, Henry Rollins, Ice T, Michael Imperioli, Matt Serra, the Late Anthony Bourdain and more, the documentary looks at Flanagan’s transformation from a life of violence and trauma.

Award-winning playwright David Mamet returns to the director’s chair with Henry Johnson, his first theatrical film in 17 years. Shia LaBeouf co-stars as a charismatic and manipulative inmate who becomes Henry’s cellmate, drawing him deeper into a world of ethical uncertainty. The film is an adaptation of Mamet’s 2023 play of the same name.
Cyprien Vial’s volcano thriller Magma has been named the recipient of the Sloan Science on Screen Award, and along with Cristina Costantini’s documentary Sally, will be showcased in Sloan Science on Screen Selection as part of this year’s program for the Sloan Science in Cinema Initiative at the 68th San Francisco International Film Festival (SFFILM Festival).
