Film at Lincoln Center and Cinema Tropical announce the fifth edition of Neighboring Scenes, the annual wide-ranging showcase of contemporary Latin American cinema featuring established auteurs as well as fresh talent from the international festival scene, February 14-18.
From acclaimed auteurs to emerging directors to visual artists that push the limits of documentary film, International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) announced 70 selected documentary film titles to the program sections Frontlight, Masters, Paradocs, Paradocs: Amsterdam Art Weekend at IDFA, and Best of Fests, plus a Lifetime Achievement Award for Jørgen Leth. The new selections include world premieres from Oeke Hoogendijk, Louise Detlefsen, Louise Kjeldsen, and Basir Mahmoud.
Zabaltegi-Tabakalera, the most open competitive section of the 2019 San Sebastian International Film Festival, will include 19 competing films, among which are the latest works from filmmakers such as Bertrand Bonello, Mati Diop, Takashi Miike and Diao Yinan.
