“Nomadland” won the top prize of Best Picture along with Best Director for Chloé Zhao at the first ever Minnesota Film Critics Alliance Awards.

Minari, Lee Isaac Chung’s film about a family of Korean immigrants who tried to find a better life in rural Arkansas, was named 2020’s best film by the Online Film & Television Association. The film also received honors for Best Supporting Actress (Yuh-jung Youn), Youth Performance (Alan Kim), and Foreign Language Film.

Minari dominated the Austin Film Critics Association’s 2020 awards, winning 6 prizes including Best Film, Best Foreign-Language Film, Best Director for Lee Isaac Chung, and Best Ensemble. Youn Yuh-jung won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film.

Nomadland took the top honors of 2020 at the Georgia Film Critics Association 2020 awards, winning Best Picture along with Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Chloé Zhao; and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards.

The Directors Guild of America announced the nominees for DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Theatrical Feature Film and Documentary for 2020.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced nominations in the Motion Pictures and Television categories for the 32nd Annual Producers Guild Awards. Nominees for Theatrical Motion Pictures include Minari, Nomadland, One Night In Miami… and Sound Of Metal.

“Nomadland” led the winners in the film categories at the 26th annual Critics Choice Awards, taking home four awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Chloé Zhao, and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards. Zhao is the first Chinese woman to win as either director or writer.

The Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA) named Nomadland as its Best Film of 2020, along with Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Chloé Zhao, Best Actress for Frances McDormand, and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards.

The Nevada Film Critics Society announced its 2020 award winners for achievement in film with top honors for Best Film going to the revenge thriller Promising Young Woman. The film won a total of four awards including Best Actress: Carey Mulligan and Best Director and Best Originally Screenplay: Emerald Fennell.

The Vancouver Film Critics Circle announced its international nominations, with Mank leading with five nominations followed by Nomadland and Promising Young Woman each receiving three nominations.
