Uncut Gems The Lighthouse and Uncut Gems lead the nominations for the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Awards with 5 nominations each. The Lighthouse is nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Male Lead, and Best Supporting Male; and Uncut Gems is nominated for Best Director, Best Editing, Best Feature, Best Male Lead, and Best Screenplay. Other nominees for Best Feature included A Hidden Life, Clemency, The Farewell, and Marriage Story. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Santa Monica beach-adjacent award show.

PLUS ONE and GAY CHORUS DEEP SOUTH Win Tribeca Film Festival 2019 Audience Awards
Alice Mori (Maya Erskine) & Ben King (Jack Quaid) in Plus One, written and directed by Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer Plus One, written and directed by Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer, was honored with the Narrative Audience Award and Gay Chorus Deep South, directed by David Charles Rodrigues, was given the Documentary Audience Award at the 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T. The winner of each receive a cash prize of $10,000.

Tribeca Film Festival Announces 2019 Feature Film Lineup
Good Posture The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup of 103 films from 124 filmmakers. The films selected in the three competition sections consist of 50% women directed films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 – May 5.
