8th Indy Shorts Film Festival Unveils Lineup Featuring Lena Headey, André Holland

The 8th Annual Academy Award-Qualifying Indy Shorts International Film Festival (Indy Shorts) will take place July 22-27, 2025. The festival will showcase 253 short films with screenings at Living Room Theaters, Newfields (The Tobias Theater, The Amphitheater and The Beer Garden) in Indianapolis, Indiana and available to stream.

Bidad by Soheil Beiraghi (KVIFF) Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has revealed the ‘secret’ twelfth film in the festival’s Crystal Globe Competition as the Iranian film Bidad. Originally kept secret and only identified as an Iranian film, it was not included in the original film competition lineup announcement to protect the safety of the film’s delegation.

Stellan Skarsgård will be presented with the Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution to World Cinema, and Vicky Krieps, Dakota Johnson along with Peter Sarsgaard will receive KVIFF President’s Awards.
