Dark Sky Films released the trailer for The Dark Red, a sophisticated, supernatural revenge thriller with a killer cast including April Billingsley (AMC’s The Walking Dead, Last Vegas), Kelsey Scott (How to Get Away with Murder), Conal Byrne (The Vault, The Reconstruction of William Zero), Rhoda Griffis (Parental Guidance, The Blind Side), John Curran (Captain America: Civil War, The Conspirator), Jill Jane Clements (TV’s Bloodline, TV’s Outcast) . Written and directed by Dan Bush, The Dark Red will open in theaters on March 6th.

Magnolia Pictures will release Two Of Us (Deux), Filippo Meneghetti’s deeply moving French drama about the love between two older women starring Barbara Sukowa and Martine Chevallier in the US. Two Of Us which world premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, will open in New York on Friday, April 10 with a national release to follow.

The South Korean film Parasite made history, becoming the first non-English film to win the Oscar for best picture at the 92nd Academy Awards. Parasite also won the award for International Feature Film (previously know as Foreign Film), Writing (Original Screenplay) and Director for Bong Joon Ho.

The Bentonville Film Festival Foundation and The Coca-Cola Foundation announced the “See It, Be It Filmmaker Fellowship,” an annual fellowship designed to offer expansive developmental support for filmmakers from historically underrepresented communities. Amazon today released the official trailer for Andrew Patterson’s science fiction film The Vast Of Night which premiered at the 2019 Slamdance Film Festival. Set in 1950s New Mexico, the film starring Sierra McCormick, Jake Horowitz, Gail Cronauer, and Bruce Davis, follows two teens investigating a strange, audio frequency. The Vast Of Night opens in theaters on March 13, 2020.

Oscar-qualifying New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) announced the complete short film lineup for its 2020 Festival, which runs February 21 to March 15 at theaters throughout New York.
