The 78th edition of Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) set to run from 14-20 August 2025 will open with the UK premiere of Eva Victor’s comedy-drama film Sorry, Baby.

Victor stars in the film alongside Naomi Ackie (Mickey 17) and Lucas Hedges (Lady Bird).

Sorry, Baby premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival where Eva Victor won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award. It will be released in the US on June 27, 2025 by A24, and later in the year by Picturehouse Entertainment in the UK.

According to the synopsis: Something bad happened to Agnes (Eva Victor) but life goes on… for everyone around her, at least. When a beloved friend visits her, Agnes starts to realize just how stuck she has been, and begins to work out how to move forward.
