ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Bali International Film Festival, also known and registered as BALINALE, invites international filmmakers to present their work to a discerning audience that's a wonderful mix of locals and expatriates from across the globe. Established in 2007, the non-profit non-government foundation strongly supported by the community in the children's program, school visits and free open air cinema, locally known as 'layar tancap'. BALINALE is known for its specialized knowledge and importance in promoting Indonesian cinema acting as a platform and history of supporting established and aspiring local filmmakers with workshops and seminars as an important part of the program. Oscar®, Emmy®, BAFTA®, AFA, FFI and Cannes award winning filmmakers continue each year to help us achieve our goals of bringing together a gathering of global creativity.
