The 14th Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) taking place September 23rd – 28th, 2025 in Richmond, Virginia, features six days of award-winning film premieres and signature events around this year’s theme, Bare Naked.

Tapawingo is the winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Overall Feature Film of the Year along with Best Director for Dylan Narang, at the 13th Richmond International Film Festival which ran September 24-29, 2024. The film starring Jon Heder and Billy Zane also won Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature, Best Ensemble Cast: U.S, Best Casting and Best Editing.

Under the theme “Rooted RVA” the 13th Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF), takes place September 24th – 29th, 2024 featuring over 170 film premieres from 25 countries.

The 2021 Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) in Richmond, Virginia, scheduled for early May has been postponed until September 14-19, 2021. In the announcement, Heather Waters, RIFF Founder & Producer, was optimistic that come September, with the vaccine rollout, the festival will be able to return to the silver screen together in person for the 10th Year Anniversary celebration.

It will be part of the festival’s Narrative Shorts Block II and will be virtually screened beginning on September 8.

Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) announced today that its rescheduled dates for the 2020 festival will be September 8-13, 2020. The festival plans to screen 30 plus film titles in physical theatres, pending approval from city and health officials, and the remaining festival will include its first ever virtual screenings, panels, live streaming events, and red carpets.
