A24’s The Brutalist will make its streaming debut on Max on Friday, May 16. The three-time Academy Award(-winning film will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, MAY 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The Last Meal directed by Maryse Legagneur, has won the $15,000 MARIMBAS Award, the top prize at the 42nd edition of Miami Film Festival. The film tells the moving story of Reynold, a man facing cancer who reconnects with his estranged daughter through the healing power of Haitian cuisine.

The 64th Cannes Critics’ Week (Semaine de la critique) taking place May 14th – 22nd, 2025 has unveiled the official selection. The parallel section to the Cannes Film Festival will open with L’interêt d’Adam (Adam’s Interest), Belgian director Laura Wendel’s second feature film. Her handheld camera takes us into a pediatric ward to follow three characters; a helpless mother, her malnourished son, and the nurse caring for them.

From April 30 – May 7, 2025, the 20th annual South East European Film Festival #SEEfest in Los Angeles will showcase over 50 movies from East and South-East Europe.


Oscilloscope Laboratories debuted the official trailer for Vulcanizadora, the black comedy thriller film edited, written, directed, and starring Joel Potrykus. Potrykus and Joshua Burge star as two friends who travel into the Michigan woods for a dark mission that goes awry. Also starring in the movie are Bill Vincent, Solo Potrykus and Melissa Blanchard.
